earn flying miles? I never done that so I'm not sure how do you "earn" them? Is it a Credit card thing or something else?

Memorial Service for Mom is at 1pm on Saturday January 3rd'09 at the Antioch Baptist Church

Every year it seems I have similar resolutions, which some I accomplish and some I don't. :(

1. losing more weight! Exercise even more or rather find something that lets me shape my body again >_< It seems my body is used to 170 sit ups daily and walking 7 days a week. Gotta find something that tricks my body in thinking "hello workout... burn burn calories.." LOL

2. Save Money this year! (to savings account)

3. to get better with staying in touch with people via e-mail ^^;; If people would just try to be on MSN or AIM they would have it much easier to get in touch with me. I'm horrible with e-mails and when I finally do catch up I get so burned out from replying to all that I don't want to be near the computer afterwards. >_<

4. go back to continue with getting degree! Which seems to be harder here since now my Son is taking college classes during High-school. LOL It's fine but gosh I want to try to go back and take some classes, too!

5. Spending more time with my kids since now they getting older and I need to be for them here in their teens.

6. find work! Which is going to be very hard this year due to the Economy! But I wont give up!

7. get back into drawing and painting and since I got a new sewing machine I'm going to start making again outfits and all. YAY!!! (thanks hubby) I missed that part the most since I always made things all my life.

8. Watch my spending on cels and sketches, which this year wasn't to bad. Well in my opinion anyway! ^^;;

9. Go visit my parents in Europe with the kids and hubby, but if not together at least me and maybe my oldest son. I haven't seen my parents since 2001 and I miss them and I miss the country I grew up in a LOT!!!!

10. Even so I said to save money but we do need/want a few things and I want to accomplish that this year.
       a.) a new HD TV or LCD or whatever you call those nice big TV's
       b.) for the family a xbox360 since hubby and me both now want one in the family room hahahah
       c.) something that plays blue-rays. so either PS3 or DVD player/blue ray we shall see
       d.) a stand that looks nice in the room that will have the new TV. 

11. To fix the floor in the living-room.  It's sagging due to settling

12. ....... (something just for me to know)

13.  to look into two pieces of land close by that we've been wanting for many years.

14. To clean out my shed and get rid of things in there that are of no need anymore

15. To clean out my house and file all the paperwork that has piled up over the years in boxes so I can finally put some "design" look into my house.

Even so this year hasn't been the best for us with health and losing family and all, I still want to look forward to the new year and hoping for a better year.

This morning shortly after 11am EST Mom (my mother-in-law) passed. :(

We both had calls from his brother to hubby and sister in law (brother wife) called me and Pop also called hubby.

We miss you Mom! <3

My Mother-in-law passed this morning shortly after 11am EST after fighting cancer since about August/September 2008 throughout her body of  Stage 4. It turned in the last few weeks into internal cancer, meaning that the cancer spread into her lungs and head. She already had phenomia. :( . On Christmas Day  the 25th December at night she was taken to the hospital to get checked due to her not eating and drinking and losing a lot of weight and they did a MRI where they found out about the bad news. She was put on medicine for pain on Saturday and she passed without pain today in the hospital. We miss you very much Mom/Grandma! <3

I hope you have a great birthday today with yummy cake and great presents. ^_^

Due to the Hurricane that hit Florida we gotten some bad weather here in AL/GA, too. We had last night a bad storm with 35 mph winds and pooring rain. Tornado warnings and watches and flood warnings and watches. *sigh*
My yard looks horrible! We suppose to get tonight again rain but not sure about rest. I'm so tired. >_<

I haven't been to town today since due to this weather I don't even wanna go drive 20 to 30 miles to get there and then turn around and coming back and who knows if it's storming again by then. :(

After neglecting my LJ and not posting much I finally was able to update my AX 2007 Journal entry with what I did at AX.
